Midwest Premiere of Conor McPherson’s THE VEIL

directed by Ann Kreitman, presented by Idle Muse Theatre Company

With her family facing financial ruin as the Irish rural way of life comes to an end, Hannah’s impending marriage to a British lord will settle her mother’s debts and save the estate. Catastrophe strikes, however, when a defrocked reverend pushes her to embrace the strange voices that have haunted her since birth. Against the backdrop of Ireland’s troubled colonial history, The Veil is a transfixing, mystical ghost story about the search for love and the circularity of time – and the ghosts that are woken by scarcity and the fear of dispossession.

Don’t miss this transfixing, mystical ghost story!

Nathan will be directing the Midwest premiere production of Speed of Light presented by Otherworld Theatre

The quest to get the machine made, however, proves more difficult than anticipated. Suddenly, everyone is interested in Mayra and her achievements, but their intentions are perhaps, less genuine. While nearby planets fight for survival, Mayra herself struggles for life due to a severe drug addiction that allowed for her great discovery in the first place. The clock is ticking, and all involved are working as fast as possible–but is it fast enough?
